Who is Eligible for WIC?
WIC is available to pregnant, breastfeeding and postpartum women, and to infants and children up to age 5.
- WIC applicants need to be currently living in North Carolina
- WIC applicants need to be at nutritional risk ( The assessment of nutritional risk is made by a nutritionist or other health professional, usually at the local WIC office, at no cost to the participant).
- WIC applicants needs to be income-eligible
